Julich is...

I'm not sure I'm expecting a good answer to this...by why so much hate
towards Julich? In his modern interviews, he seems a cool enough guy.

I think it's because his fans tend to be dorks.

I think it's because they still can't forgive him for being a
professional cyclist when they are still flipping burgers.

Yes, but the same is true of his detractors.

It think is because when he was younger he had the reputation of being a
diva...but didn't we all.

"Modern interviews"? As opposed to the ones he gave in 200 BC back in
Greece?

I like Bobby so I don't really qualify but from what I've seen over
the years is that it goes back to the late 90's when he would say
stuff like 'Ullrich and I have a long future here', referring to the
TdF.

He was cocky, as all pro atheletes tend to be, whether they say it out
loud or not. And rightly they should be.

I think that eventually, maybe around the time he joined CSC,
Julich forgave himself for not being the next Greg Lemond.

There seem to be quite a few people (like RBR's own "Yves Ladouche")
who still haven't been able to forgive him for it.
