Hi

Please can someone tell me the recharge time for my Cateye HL1600 headlight (NiCads) which I've lost
the instructions for?

I've seen 8 hours on the web, but I think that's for the NiMH version- my wife remembers 10-11
hours, but I'd like to be sure so I don't end up cooking it.

Cheers John

Generally speaking using a fixed current charger (at the right current of course) NiCds and NiMHs
should charge in approximately ten hours.

If you periodically feel them with your finger they will start getting warm once they are fully
charged (and thus dumping the incoming energy). You shouldn't leave them on much longer
especially NiMHs.

A more intelligent charger should of course do the right thing no matter what you do and they won't
ever get warm.

Thanks Chris- I did try that, but on the product overview it states 8 hours for NiMH (mine's NiCad)
and the manuals section is empty.

Thanks Jon- I think that's what I was doing before, but just wanted to make sure. It's just a basic
charger- no clever safety stuff I don't think.

Cheers John
