nancy,
Sure did, but at my ACME, one express lane checker told me "I don't care,
I still have to stand here."

Heh ... I meant in the cartoon, but in life I'm of the 'close enough' camp,
so you can hate me if you want. Daggers in the back of my head. Hey,
I'd like to be behind me on line with the extra item or 2 than the person
with only 3 items who appears shocked! yes, shocked! that they are
expected to pay for the stuff and only then start hunting for their wallet.

I wanted to see what the 'over tolerance' was (laugh).

Actually, I do count my items, and I stare daggers at and mutter under my
breath the person ahead of me who clearly did not. A trap door would be an
answer to a prayer!

LOL... What about the people with 30 items in the cart that state "It's 2
separate orders"? The self check out lane is getting just as bad in some
stores as well. They'll load up a cart, hit the self check out lane and
not understand how to use it. It'll take them twice as long to get out of
the store than it did if they had waited in line like everyone else in the
regular lanes.
