I have a set of 240 hubs sitting in my garage. they are brand new and i was thinking about lacing them up to Zipp 404 tubular rims.

will these hubs be as fast (fast rolling) as the Zipp Hubs?

i had these hubs laced with Velocity aerohead rims and the wheel set up seemed slow compared to the Eurus or a 2003 404 wheelset i had before.

any feedback will be appreciated.

Not personal experience, but Zipp claims that their bearings will save you up to one Watt at 30mph over traditional bearings. They don't show any actual data to back this up, so it's impossible to know what they're being compared to. DT is known for using some pretty high end bearings, so if there is a difference it's going to be small.

SOME ZIPP wheels had CERAMIC BEARINGS -- I'm thinking of what Hamilton had access to back in the 2003 (?) TdF, in particular ...

The Hugi 240 hubs FEEL very tight when they aren't stress loaded ... if you take the front wheel, hold the axles, and roll it on the ground you will see that the resistance drops dramatically.
