HRM placement on bike or on wrist

I want to purchase a Heart rate monitor but should I get one with a cycle computer build and place it on the bike or one that goes on your wrist?

Buy one that does both, I have my Sigma on the bike on its own mount, or on the wrist.

Its handy for walking and running too.

I've got a Polar 625x which has a bike mount, so you can wear it on your wrist or strap it to the bars, its has cycling speed, cadence and running functions.
