I can deal with that, but I don't get the red undershirt thing:

Undershirts should be black or white. Maybe gray is OK too.

Boonen was right, "it's an Italian thing or something."

Wow, I didn't know the bicycle fashion police had rules for undershirts. On
the gray thing, am I ok with either dark or light gray?

Yes, you did. The bicycle fashion police are involved
in every aspect of bicycle attire. Color, cut, pattern,
design, accessories, hair dye, tattoos, and how they
are is worn. If it can be named, the bicycle fashion
police have a say. Two riders could wear the same kit,
and while one would grace the pages of GQ, the other
would look like the dog's breakfast. It's these fine
distinctions that form the basis of civilized society.

You forgot socks. Socks are very important.

Ugly or not, Bettini's victory was beautiful, great, exciting en and even
moving. In short, everything what a cycling race can be. Let's hope that the
WADA, UCI, etc. will quickly take drastic action. Imagine what's going to
happen if they are doing nothing and there will be a few more races like
that. People - and perhaps even rbr - will begin to talk about cycling
instead of what really matters: doping, performance enhancing products and
its moral implications.

Hijacking a fashionista thread to talk about that silly racing stuff?

I'm sorry. I guess I was just too lazy to look for one of the many threads
discussing the exciting details of the race...

Seconded. Beautiful race, especially the action going through the little
town near the end - great bike handling. I almost had to change underwear
when Bettini skated that corner, bumping the guard rail with his shoulder!!

PS: Kudos to Mr Raket.

The closest we came to it was here:

http://tinyurl.com/ykuywc

I too resent the infiltration of the doping and anti-doping factions,
and wish there was more discussion on the race. Valverde was originally
scheduled not to start over a row concerning a Protour leader
presentation not to be held at the end of the race, yet he and Bettini
were chatting it up at the start. What's up with that?

That was beautiful. I'll remember this one for a long time.

Bettini, of course. But also Wegmann's desperate effort to hang on.
And I wish there'd been a camera on Sanchez when he came across on the
descent. That must have been some great riding.

Thanks Mr Raket! I would hate to have missed it.

Agreed, that was a great race. Bettini's descent on that last hill was
fantastic, talk about pushing the limits! I also thought it was very
moving at the end, when he pointed to the sky in tears while crossing
the finish line.
