Yeah, it was kind of cool that the chase group didn't have the cohesiveness to chase him down, which allowed him to hold on to the gap he created on the climb. He definitely reached down deep to get that win!
On VS it seemed that every time they showed Contodor, he stood up and showed his resolve to stay ahead of the yellow jersey.
When he pulled away from the lead group, I really didn't think he was going to make it, and there were a few times that it seemed like he was going to get caught, but I think he basically kept up enough speed to deflate the motivation of the chase group which contributed to the lack of a successful chase.
