I want to buy a Giant Yukon mtb bike. I m going to use it both on and off road (both pavement and cros-country). I need help on the frame size. Got really confused when I checked on the internet about all those frame size theories. Im 182 cm (5.11 ft) tall. Should I go for a 19 or 21 inch bike? Also got confused because in my country the Giant Yukon comes in sizes of s,m,l,xl. Really confusing guys.
Please help..............!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I'm 178cm and chose the 19" or 19.5" can't remember, My brother is like 185 and has a 21". I could have chosen the 17" or 17.5" but I felt the bigger bike more comfortable.
If you can test them it will be easier to make the decision.

Size M (19") for riders between 5'8" to 5'11". If closer to 6', the L (21") frame. Because GIANT (and many other) MTBs have a steeply sloping downtube, the old 'rule of thumb' of straddling the frame with 1" spare of crotch is difficult to apply. Any shop will almost instantly fit a bike to you based on taking a shoes-on height measurement.

Thank you all for the advices. I did try them both and the 21 inch felt better and more comfortable. By the way giant yukon seems very nice.
