Ha. I only saw him near the front once or twice, so maybe we was just spinnin'.
Eh, I'm going ok, but I could be going better. I hate to admit it, but I probably haven't trained hard enough this season. I skipped the "all-in" last week to do the 'Burbs ride so I could totally smash meself and blow up a few times, to hopefully top up some zing that I've been missing. I farkin make the same mistake every year: I kid myself that I'm doing enough really hard riding, just coz I race most weeks and do the Tuesday night smashfest, but then I go to the 'Burbs ride and quickly realise that I'm lacking a bit of top-end zipp, or at least the ability to sustain hard efforts for as longer.
I'd like to do something this winter, coz I've never done a road race...ever! :-) Easter to October is long time not to race.
What about you? Why haven't you come back to Sandown?
You'd maul a road race faster than Thorpie will sink in the pool at the Aus Trials.....
Honestly can't be arsed with crits this season. Same ol story week in, week out... some want to get away, some will work, most will just pull shit back for the entire bunch playing super farkin hero then never feature in the results. Sometimes a break will stick and it is awesome fun. The road has less of a 'scene whore' feeling about it. The courses have character, some have big sets of balls you need to suffer over. Yeah there are 808s and bling-blig, but they're soon gone when the road kicks up... and when the shit goes down, most of the time you're left with honest and experienced riders.
The standards of that joke are even below TAN quality.
