Change of tune from the GreenEdge haters? biggrin.gif

Meanwhile in London: Diving taken to a whole new level.

I never understood the hatred for Green Vadge. Gerrans has been on the verge of getting a win in a while - and only the likes of Valverde stopped him from getting a couple of nice stage wins. The stage in Paris Nice that Gerrans once again just failed to take the win from the Movistar rider, Gerrans came from way back, at least 10 back, and launched a farking missile like sprint. Another meter and he would have had it...

The lads on fire - he'll probably do well in Ghent Wevelgem and the sprinters classic that Cavs won the last three times he's entered it (but alas I can't remember the name)

Scheldeprix Swampy.

The Green vag annoyance comes from them generally being elitist shits. Nearly all the Aussie recruits came thru the AIS system. Gerrans may be the exception, tho I may wrong. A couple if gun riders, guys deserving of contracts, were ignored. And Neil Stephens shouldn't be allowed within 199km of anything affiliated with Cycling Australia imo

I was there Vadar but didn't see your post till now so not much help really haha.

Good night tho. Plenty of close racing from some quality fields.

Some nasty stacks tho - resulting in broken collar bones for some, a severed finger tip for one dude and a trip to the Austin strapped to a spinal board for a junior lass from WA. Hopefully she is all okay.

Hope the Vadar-ess enjoyed the night.

And Gerro is a SUPERSTAR!!! :D

Yeah she did. She said most of the girls were spastics and there were 11teebillion crashes in the womens races.

I think Nibali is a massive cock. No way did he have any right attacking on the Poggio.

Sagan had the race in his back pocket. I would of punched the shit out of that little italian cnut after the race. I hope he did.

Same in Mansfield at the crits. Shit being eaten non stop in A Grade. But not to worry about broken bodies, bikes, and missing fingers. LETS BACK PAT HOW AWESOME OUR CYCLING EVENT IS because rider welfare and fairness is NOT SOMETHING ANYONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT.

Good weekend otherwise. Those young cnuts can fly up hills. Watched their asses for 20minutes from the gatehouse then had to play solo man out the poopsie. 5mins down on Buller. %somethingth% place, maybe top 20? F'knows. Had a ripper 30km turn back into town flat out earning myself lunch from the Mrs on my wheel. VIS wins B Grade. Handicapping by true retards. wtf was I doing in A while VIS/Search2something/etc in B? I have not earned my spot in A Open in a road race, yet there I was. And yet there were a few spat before the climb, more shutting off at the base.

Anyhows, I'll do a race report. Hard not to make it a total slag-out. I'll keep it constructive. Maybe.

Yeah, he managed to sprint for fourth comfortably while looking back at Boonen blacking out and crashing, but he might still have struggled to match Gerro's sprint, had either of them really had to do one.

Maybe Iti cycling is just like most endeavours, earn your stripes before the old guard can be convinced to start handing over the reins. He's earning them. They will.

Nibali's jump on the Poggio was still impressive, even if he didn't have anything left at the end. He's earned those stripes too.

ONCE probably accounts for the first, only met him once so not sure about the second bit.  Probably not incompetent seeing as he's been DSing for a while, but that doesn't take into account the first bit.

ONCE, Festina, Liberty Seguros, Astana.... The innocent bystander schtick doesn't wash IMO. As for the other part... 2005 world road title. Sending the boys to the front with 90km to go. Suited the Spanish fine. Cost McEwen a rainbow jersey in Salzburg too I reckon. It should have been all for Robbie. Instead Rogers and Evans rode mid peloton in the final and ogrady rode his own race.

So you weren't one of those time trialling to catch up to your bunch due to the long registration process?

I came down with a bug on Friday, so it was no surprise when I did a reverse break away from my grade at the base of the climb and took four minutes longer to get to the summit than in training last weekend. A friend of mine did rather well in her first State Open coming third in Woman's A-grade. Pretty bloody good for a mother of two in her mid 30's who would be fortunate to get in 5 hours of training a week.

I was lucky enough to have someone grab my license and tell me to go warm up while they got my number.... very, very handy.

The women's fields were different to last year, I was told. No VIS hitters. The opposite problem with the mens, too many hitters and not enough knowledge of riders for the grading system to work effectively. Keen to know your opinions on what pissed you off this weekend.... I've got a post ready, but it is a little to negative for my liking, and I'm not sure it is just me.... Did everyone have a few niggles with the way things were run/promoted/ended up?

Fuck it. Speaking of. They're only reporting top 3 again this year. http://www.vic.cycling.org.au/?ID=45969  I'm fucking pissed off. $55. Stomped up the whole climb to post a time. GET FUCKING NOTHING.

Fark, those Rapha shoes look more shit than my previous set of golf shoes

Mind you, my white with gold highlights Exustar road shoes looked pretty wanky back when they were shiny and unscuffed as well :)

I think it's upto Sagan to put up or shut up - that said I don't see him complaining this time about Nibbleballs having a good dig.

After the shit he pulled in TA I'm surprised the Italian mafia hasn't taken out his kneecaps. His bonus stealing win could have cost Nibali big time.

Vette - Rapha shoes? Who, what, where? I can imagine they look like they were designed by someone that purveys the bournville boulevard but I detest their website as much as I think their products look crap, so I won't be looking on there for a looksie... The only good thing about the Rapha site was (or still is) the little community of riders that just went out and rode, organized bike rides and had a laugh. Just riding for the sake of riding...

Speaking of which I'm still achy from a 300km ride yesterday. Should have taken note that the midway point was up a farking big hill 8km of 8% with 3.5km of 11%. The average number was skewed a little by a nice little 'freeze your arse off' descent before the final dig to the top. Last 80km into a headwind with pouring rain with a not too fun section of narrow roads full of fcuktards with big diesel pickups towing boats from the lake... 400km ride in a month - which is a bit flatter but the 600km is farking lumpy. Why the fark did I think that these were a good idea for getting in the miles for the one ride I want to nail?ROTF.gif
