Been in Melb for a few days chasing shadows. A few funny things to report.

Belgian track squad is in town? 4pm P(c)unt Road. Pretty much peak hour and they just try to OWN it. Fuck it was hilarious to watch. Weaving across 3 lanes at one stage. Track stands everywhere, at the lights, some up on the footpaths. They were making there way down to beach rd. It was just this massive culture clash between whats acceptable/common place in europe vs tradies in australia going ape shit at these 'bike riding cunts!!'. Funniest shit me and my gf have seen from the car.  

Also smashed the shit out of every single cunt on beach rd at 5pm yesterday. Including one TriTTer who was smashing it hard in his uber aero stance and we just came past at 56 up on the bars. I took a drink too just so he knew he'd been put back in his box. Haha god I love beach rd WARRZz!!

ALSO saw Wallace and Tymms out. They rode into the head wind for a bit then did a u bolt before we could smash em. Prolly a bit windy for em. And no Ozman in sight! Disappointed

It is ok to be firm and ask serious questions. There may be rational answers to your concerns. There may be a series of mitigating factors currently undisclosed.

Draw them out. Create a zero tolerance for mediocrity in the running of the sport. Be the man Lama. Be that man.

But I take Callum's point. You cant simply heap blame on the small regional club ( which I doubt you would of) - its more complex than that as you know.

I think it is simply a case of some girls getting way too far ahead of themselves. Some of which is their own fault and some of it is related to the sheer lack of depth in the sport for females (allowing them to compete at a higher standard too soon). Nicole Whitburn can handle herself, Peta Mullens too. Grace Sulzburger is gold. Like I say to my missus, if you want to sit in the bunch then you get what you deserve every time. Stay at the sharp end. She still has a long way to go though.

Nobody (well, me anyway) wants to read a report that plays out so stock-standard that it could have been written before the event took place. I like meat, gory bits, things that didn't work. Someone mentioned they only listed top 3 in the results for last year..... and nobody spoke out about it? Is that why they only reported top 3 again this year? Farck sitting on my hands. I don't mind using my self-made little story telling corner to call out the shit bits.... I'm also offering 2c on solutions too, to be a little more constructive than I have been in the past.

CV are no doubt pretty pissed at me... but to date they've been faceless about it... It'll boil over soon.. I am expecting a call, email, or to be spoken to.... that'd be some meat to put on the blog. In all honesty though, someone banging on a personal blog about their own niggles should be the least of their worries. I'm offering (and people are commenting) with some free consulting!

Got to agree about your comment in the blog about the finish. I had zero idea where I was meant to go and in my addled state I thought the marshall was directing me up the footpath.

I was caught out last time we raced up... I'd assumed a straight line sprint to the clock tower. Then I had people telling me all weekend that last year they went around the back and onto some footpath. In the scheme of things, not really a biggy, but if you're going head to head with someone at the end - it really is the difference between winning and losing.

Spewin' I missed it.  I woulda sacrificed my "Tuesday legs" to have a crack at all them/you uber cool crunts.   :-) I usually just roll around for about 40km on Mondays, and I'm so untogether that I can't get out until about 6:30, even though I have half the day to get ready. Ha.

Come to the drags tonight and you'll see some of the northern suburbs tossers.  They get to Mordy about 7:15, then fang it back to St Kilda. 

I'm really surprised that Tymms didn't win more (any?) mountainous events, simply coz he's strong a pretty small.  Maybe he coudnn't be farked,,,,  eh, I dunno

As silly as this is -- ok, purile --  I challenge yooz to get through it without laughing  :-)

I wish I could. I will be eating aged black angus eye fillet at 6.30pm before heading back to Albury. I will be out the back of Albury smashing it up tomorrow morning early - you should come on up!
