Only if you don't see the logics behind it all.

It's perfectly logical and possible development given,

1) Wealth of Venezuela for major military programs.
2) Key oil supplier to the US with a huge oil reserve that Dubya and his admin wants to have influence and control over.
3) Political hostility b/n US and V.
4) Political alignment with Iran and Cuba.

The only silly talk is the labelling of "Axis of Evil" by Dubya at the State of the Union address, unnecessarily hardened more enemies around the world than the US can cope with.

Absolutely right, so let's not aggrevate it like what the Dubya admin has been doing since coming to power. As they say, never poke a hornet's nest unless you have the tools to fend them off. And after declaring NK as part of the triad of axis of evil and tearing up all hard earned agreements set up by the Clinton admin, the US has left itself with next to no leverage against NK at the present time.

Hopefully Johnny baby knows to keep his mouth shut this time and hope the wind will carry that erratic ballistic missile to the east rather than south.

Logic..... Lets look at that.

Nuclear development is a long term process. You do not simply go down to the Kwiky Mart and buy a manual. Plutonium enrichment is a process that takes a high level amount of technology. "Plutonium enrichment" is not getting your "Plantinium Credit Card" limit raised.

And connect the dots for me between being an oil supplier and nuclear development.
Chavez does not have absolute control over his country. Things change fast there as far as leadership goes. There are still many groups who want him out of there.. But it is really a silly thing to talk of Venz being a nuclear power. Spouting off at the UN is nothing more then being stupid. he lost his chance at a seat there with his comments. Great leadership.

As far as the alighnment between Iran and Cuba, It is nothing more then just a roadtrip for Chavez to speak tough. ......I am willing to bet that Cuba will be asking for statehood within 10 years. Castro will not live much longer. The Cuban connection to the states is very strong. Go to Miami and you would think you are in Cuba. There are strong ties...

Do you think NK and Iran are just enemies of the US? Get a grip. After what Iran said today about Israel, I think the annihilation of Iran is just around the corner. Israel will react and swiftly. ..... And they are capable of it. With them it is not just talk.

Ok, based on your latest statements we can draw the following corollary:
1) NK is technologically advanced, contrary to some earlier posts stating the reverse.
2) "Spouting off" at the UN is indeed stupid. Just like the Bush admin before and during the Iraq invasion.
3) US loves to hit Cuba with sanctions to hurt the Cuban civilians and maintain the bond. What a nice friendship!
4) US is "lucky" to have a war proxy in the form of Israel.

Twisting words to fit your grade school agenda.
NK is not advanced enough to deploy a missile carrying the warhead. That puts it at the level of the US in 1945 or so.......And it has taken years to aquire the plutonium to do so. The bomb they did set off was similar in size to the one dropped on Japan.....
Venz is a step away from being a third world country.The difference betwen NK and Venz is that NK would not be a country in economic trouble if they did not put so much effort in maintaining military strenght.

There is a very strong bond between the Cuban people and the Cuban-American people. The Cubans in South Florida make up a very strong voting block for our politicians.

The sanctions...... You say they hurt the people of Cuba. Castro has been in power for many years. If his system was all that he says it is, the country should be able to rise above the sanctions that are imposed upon Cuba. But Cuba is still a third world country. So it is obvious that Cuba needs the US to bring it in to the new millinium. And soon, Castro will not be around much longer, Cuba will be at Washington's door. Then,when this happens, we will see how Cuba flourishes.

So you say that Cuba, Venz, and Iran..... and we have to add NK to this list have a right to defend themselves against US aggression.... Doesn't Israel also have that right to defend itself against aggression of Iran?

The US agression is sanctions after discussions fail against these countries.
Iran wants to nuke Israel. Big difference......
The problem with Israel launching a first strike is the enviromental damage to the other countries as far as nuclear fallout. { The deaths of many is a given problem }

The Hiroshima bomb "Little Boy" was a 12.5kT device and the Nagasaki bomb "Fat Man" was a 21kT device, while NK's first nuke test was a sub-1kT device (according to US, S Korea, France's data). That's all the Western intelligence know at the present time in terms of size. There's absolutely no information on the physical dimensions of the expoded bomb to date. So when you talk about size, the only size we can compare is the size of the explosive force. So you are clearly wrong wrong wrong by a major factor of 12-20 to say they are similar in size.

I don't think there's much point in discussing this issue if you can't get your grade school book 1, chapter 1, page 1's simple facts straight, let alone of any agenda.
