Re: The F1-circus thread...

It's also not a very spectator-friendly circuit. On the other hand, Ralf and Alex Zanardi (may God bless him) actually said that they enjoy driving the Kyalami circuit.
Was there when the Williams and Bar guys did their testing. Man, it's one of the sweetest sounds on earth, that of a Formula1 car accelerating! Got goosies all the way down to my toes!

Re: The F1-circus thread...

Come now guys, you and I know that there is only one truly enjoyable form of motor sport MOTOCROSS

I mean what's fun about a bunch of okes riding around in circles on tarmac in glorified Go-Carts.

On the other hand you have MotoCross; also a bunch of okes riding around in circles on MX Bikes BUT in dirt clearing jumps the size of  Double Decker Busses, now that’s Motor Sport !!

Re: The F1-circus thread...

Who says we don't like MX. I follow and enjoy most forms of motorsport but I love F1. Most of them are the best drivers in the world.

Re: The F1-circus thread...

OR I think they should revive the old Nurburgring, it would be a blast to see modern F1 cars race in a historic track like the 'Ring.

Personally, I prefer watching races in tight tracks, that's why I loooove Monaco, especially when it's raining! Precision driving all the way baby!

imho, only ONE man can drive Monaco properly, especially in the rain. And I don't need to tell you who that is now, do I?

Let me re-phrase my previous post:

Re: The F1-circus thread...

So when's the first race? I predict a 1st place finish by Kimi Raikonnen.

More carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium than the Merlin, Colnago and Cannondale factories put together...

Shame...

In an interview with the Sun newspaper, David Coulthard made it clear that he expected to get the better of Michael Schumacher again this year.

Talking about his win at the 2001 Brazilian GP, he hinted that maybe the German's commitment in difficult situations could be waning.

"I watched Montoya's move and I analyzed that he had a car with more straight (line speed)," the Scot said. "The closing speed on Michael gave him the momentum to believe he could make the manoeuvre.

"It was a committed overtaking move, which any of the good guys would have attempted. I passed Michael later in the race, because he lifted as he could not see where he was going and, therefore, he had his doubts.

"I didn't lift because I had analyzed my commitment and knew it was my chance. It was a significant example that Michael is getting old. He's still good, but he lifted and I didn't."

Just another example of why I cannot handle DC. He takes an isolated incident and turns it into an ego trip. "MS is losing his edge because I passed him in the Brazilian GP. Forget about the rest of the season when he lapped me on a few occasions."
DC is a bigger moron than I thought! He should forget about Michael and concentrate on the fact that Raikonnen's probably going to out-qualify him 60:40.
