Will be getting a CX bike soon and was wondering which pedals would work best for this style of bike? I've ridden with both road and mountain, but just wanted to hear some other opinions. Anything is appreciated. Thanks.

"True" CX racing usually has sections where running with the bike slung over the shoulder is the norm, which would be a compelling argument for MTB-style shoes.
If your intended usage is another - like you want it for a foul-weather road bike with clearence enough for fenders etc - go for whatever pedal you prefer.
