The 2015 Tour de France is over, was it a vintage edition? We catch up with the last stages, which were probably the best bits of the race. The first week was crazy, we should be used to that by now as it seems to be the norm. Chris Froome made his big attack and that finished most peoples dreams of winning. On the eve of stage 20 it looked like the Movistar team were happy to finish second and third with Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde, then on the Alpe d’Huez they pulled the stops out for Quintana and he nearly pulled it off. If the Movistar team had been more attentive in the first week, the little Colombian wouldn’t have lost time and would have been ahead of Froome going into the mountains. Quintana was the fastest in the race on the climbs, but lost the race on flat. That is why we love the sport. Other high points would be Steve Cummings’ win and the performance of the MTN-Qhubeka team, which was well beyond the team’s dreams. Zdenek Stybar’s stage...
