RCS Sport runs the Giro d’Italia as well as Milan-San Remo, Lombardia, Tirreno-Adriatico, Strade Bianche, Dubai Tour and the Abu Dhabi Tour and is involved in other sports. The rumor is that RCS Sport would be worth around 80 million, so that would not make a big dent in the debt, but every little bit helps.Tour de France organizers, ASO, are bound to be the front runners in the purchase of the Italian race owner/organizer. If the sale went through, it would put ASO into an exceptionally dominant position, owning control of all three Grand Tours and many of the Classics.
