best tyres for dry conditions - freeride

Hi,

I have recently bought a Scott Ransom on ebay and it came with the original scott tyres that look like they came off a tractor and seem to be designed for mud.

I ride dry trails in Spain which are hardpack, gravel and rock.

Can anyone recommend a good lower rolling resistance lighter tyre that still has high volume for the rough stuff.

When it's very dry and dusty I like Kenda Nevegals. If it's soft and dry but not super loose/gravelly I prefer Maxxis High Rollers.

I would second Wlfdg's recommendation on the Kenda Nevegals. They are by far the most popular tires here in Southern Nevada (USA's Mojave desert), it does not get much more dry/dusty/rocky than out here.
