Requests From: Daye [email protected] I am looking for easy to make vegetable side dishes,
particularly ones that are cooked in the oven. However, those that are cooked on top of the stove
will be appreciated as well.

I make this dish often, a great winter warm-up dish.

Scalloped Tomatoes

1- large (303) can of Tomatoes ( whole or diced) break up whole tomatoes 2 slices day-old bread
cubed 1-3 Tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon butter Salt and pepper to taste. Minced Garlic, if desired

Combine in a buttered casserole and bake at 350 F. for 45 min. Top will brown a little.

I always use a double recipe, as they heat up great. Also, Mom always made Meat loaf or Mac and
cheese to go with this. Everything goes in the oven and warmed up the house.
