Got Bike, Got allotment but still support invasion

Neither are those who are anti-war. We just see it for what it really is - nothing to do with
democracy and all to do with money. If democracy was a goal we'd have been in Israel years ago to
help the Palestinians. As a bike rider and allotment holder you must have some desire for an
"alternative" lifestyle - ie shunning cars due to waste of resources, pollution, oil etc and
shunning mass produced meat/veg again due to waste of resources, chemicals, globalism etc. Yet the
war stands for all those things and the protection of the establishment here and US interests
globally. It's a very sorry week for democracy which has been on the way out particularly since the
attacks on the USA. The USA/UK/Israel can pretty much do as we please now, without UN approval.
After Saddam is gone we'll need a new enemy (probably N Korea) until the newly installed puppet in
Iraq turns against us in 15 years after being armed to the hilt and funded by us. It's all such
rubbish and everyone's being taken in.

No, I am **** at driving, I like digging, and I am a retired capitalist that used to work for HSBC
Global banking. Your assumptions are just the same assumptions as those that presume that I must be
anti-invasion as i ride a bike.

I guess if you cycle and garden for those reasons and are a capitalist then the war is right up your
street. Yes you do tend to associate cycling with those that care a bit about their surroundings and
those that know driving is a bit of waste of time. Oh well!

Seconded. I finished reading that book a few weeks ago and it is a superb book. Pity everyone
doesn't read it.

Not entirely a troll. I'm also a non-lefty cyclist with a sideline in (cycle) campaigning and find
myself mixing with some very odd bedfellows.

I find the bearded, vegan, sandal-wearing stereotype uncomfortably accurate and not entirely helpful
when trying to 'sell' cycling as transport for 'normal' people.

I also like gardening and growing my own stuff.

Why do you feel the need for enemies? Wouldn't it be so much better if we found ways for everyone to
be friendly? So for instance don't arm Israel to the hilt to kill Palestinians. Don't help install
dictators when they are beneficial and attack them when not, destabilising countries and regions.
Don't fund right-wing groups/terrorists just because they oppose socialist/communist governments at
the same time condeming socialist/communist rebels fighting fascism etc. It would be so much
simpler, cheaper and more effective to do this than to bomb places for short term gain.
