Seeking loop tour out of New Orleans on colorful, non-
intense lighter highways. Road bike only. Possibly via Baton Rouge/Houma, or south from N.O. on HY 23, then crossing over and coming back on HY 39? Maybe 3-5 days. Want regional flavor - boudin and ant hills without too many Starbucks and Taco Bells. Any ideas appreciated. My wife wants to go somewhere where "other people go" so she doesn't get stuck on the totally out-of-the way desolute rides I've taken her on, and I don't want tourist central. Can you help? |
