Default Merida Kalahari 550, Family Bike (MTB style) $350

I realise in this forum I will have little to no chance of attracting a buyer, but here goes anyway......

Today I took delivery of my first road bike, so my "training wheels" bike is for sale, purchased new in December 2003;

Merida Kalahari 550, MTB style family bike, it looks like this:
http://www.advancetraders.com.au/20...hari550mens.htm

18" frame size (55cm top C-C).
Extras/Improvements:
Top Gun Suspension Forks
Tranz-X Suspension Seat Post
Continental Sport Slicks 559-31
Bottle Cage & Toe Clips

Price $350 or swap for a small (51cm) ladies road bike.

Contact: gclark8@bigpond.net.au to inspect, Perth only.

cheers
George

I have decided to keep the Merida for now as the lady has just bought a Giant Sedona (2005) and riding the MTB with her is more appropriate than my road bike. Well, at least until she decides to ride a road bike...

Well, the Giant proved just too quick for me and I had to up-grade some components. Consequently some "as new" parts are now surplus to rquirements:

EF29 7 & 3 speed shifters & levers, $50
26" front wheel and,
26" rear wheel with
7 speed 14-28 spin on gears, $100
C030 Rapid Rise Derailleur, $50
2 x 26" new MTB tyres & tubes, $25.

Perth WA only for wheels and tyres, Aus only for the rest.
E_mail for contact details.

Update: Sold the rear wheel.

EF29 7 & 3 speed Rapid Fire shifters & levers,
7 speed 14-28 spin on freewheel,
C030 Rapid Rise Derailleur, $75 the lot! (+ Aust Post)

26" front wheel Q/R hub, $25

2 x 26" new MTB tyres & tubes, $25.

Top Gun Suspension forks, 1&1/8 Threaded 160mm, $75

Wheel, tyres, Forks, & bike, pick up Perth Only.

The bike is now 8 speed 11-30, Alivio RD, DM18 Alexrims, CrMo forks and Flat Bars, a nice ride, but a little long (54cm) in the top tube for me. If there is someone in Perth over 5'7"who would like it, I would sell it for $350.

I have this advertised in the "Quokka" (Trading Post). I have had no response. This is all nice stuff, am I asking too much??

EDIT: Frame size is 18", top tube is 56cm measured horizontal.
