This guy lives down the street from me and I've watched
him ride daily in any kind of weather for the last 20
years or so, both here in Carson City and before that in
South Lake Tahoe.

He really is amazing.

Jill, there's a name for that "three-wheeled bike". It's
called a "tricycle".

The journalist's english teacher told him he might not be
able to write anymore.

You guys actually took the time to read the story and the
most intelligent response either of you could come up with
was to snivel about grammar.

There's nothing to say about the guy on the trike. He needs
a new trike. The article was very clear about that.

Not to be insensitive or anything but how does one fall on a trike? Much less often.

I read the article....I wondered if the poor guy's health is
declining further.

I assume they meant he fell off the trike somehow.

It doesn't take anyone who knows something about reading
very much time at all to read, so it's inconsequential that
we "actually took the time to read the story"; and our
snivelling about Jill's grammar is far more intelligent than
your snivelling about our snivelling.

If you ever met Glen you would understand. He can't walk
without a walker and can speak only with great difficulty.

It's amazing he can ride a bike (or a trike for you
pedants) at all.

My point in posting the story was the hope that some of us
may find a guy like Glen inspiring. He can't walk without a
walker, yet he manages to ride just about every day. You
should see him; I'd be amazed if he even makes 3 mph.

But if all you got out of the story was that some guy needs
a new bike, that's fine.

Thanks for the clarification. I was kinda wondering if the reporter was making stuff up to spice up the story or something (not that journalist ever do that). I always think it's awsome to hear about people riding their bike and overcoming adversity. I only hope that I would ride that much/hard if I faced such difficulty.

Dan.

I find him inspiring....I've have little excuse not to get
off my butt and ride!
