Ibex Bikes (http://www.ibexbikes.com ) is having a sale on
their entry level flat bar road bike. I use a slick tired hardtail MTB to run errands on, but I don't ride off road, so the suspension is just added weight. It's not chichi component- wise, but it has eyelets for rack and fenders, and weighs 22 pounds. Not bad for $299, plus I won't be heartbroken if it gets nicked up or stolen. http://www.ibexbikes.com/Bikes/2004/COR-CT-Details.html Anybody have any experience with the Shimano 2200 derailleurs? I'm guessing they're sub-105, but surely they're not Wal Mart quality..... Mike |

The only reason I didn't buy a cheap drop bar bike is I like the position of my MTB with a flat bar, and this should be similar. :-) ...plus bar ends give me extra positions. |

Actually, they're even sub-Sora, but still well above the Falcon stuff that you see on *Mart bikes. -- Remove the ns_ from if replying by e-mail (but keep posts in the newsgroups if possible). |

Well, they don't dare let the users come up with the names; it might not be very complimentary ;-o -- Remove the ns_ from if replying by e-mail (but keep posts in the newsgroups if possible). |
