Default NH riding laws

Hi, I've been trying to find laws that regulate riding bicicles on sidewalks in NH, but haven't come up with much. I was told by a traffic cop today that it is illegal to ride on sidewalks, but nearly every day about 1/4 mile down road from him, I pass a cop car sitting in his favorite speed trap spot, wave, and ride on by, he's never said a word.

Down here it's illegal to ride on footpath's if you are over 12 years of age.

The cop probably ignores you because he would prefer to dish out speeding fines than fining a cyclist.

That said, it could be legal in your state. Look up your local road authority on the net? (or google...)
