Default Specializzed Tarmac WHOA!

Has anyone seen this thing? I went into the LBS today, and someone road one
in, I didn't get a chance to talk to him but dang, what a wierd looking
bike. Are there any inherent advantages or disadvantages to this bike
besides the additional joins which could fail?

Thanks and have a nice day!

David

Yes. The inherent advantage is that it looks nifty, which causes
increased sales. As we speak, this inherent advantage is working on me
(but alas, like trying to scoop 2 gallons of ice cream out of a gallon
pail, it is not working on my wallet). Specialized is said to be very
excited about this advantage.

Would like to know what "curvecious" means,

It looks like a warped "compact geometry" frame.

What extra "joins"? It's just another bike with curved tubes instead of
straight. Nothing new or amazing.

Somehow the "t" went missing. So it meant to read, inherent problems with
the joints. The joints between the carbon top and TI/aluminum bottom.

I think he means all the carbon to aluminium joints.

Anyway, it's not working for me, I want a Roubaix Pro

Oooh, sweet, the compact geometry war is about to be re-animated!

Looks like the "cruiser" bikes of old days (1950 and back). Wanna see
wierd with lots of joints, ex Moulton "Mini".

Yeah, even though it borrows a couple of hints from the stylish
cruiser genre, it mostly maintains the overall gimpy and graceless
appearance common to most road racing bikes. (For what it's worth,
they look even gimpier and more graceless when topped with a
lycra-clad geek holding his butt up in the air like some sort of
estrus-stricken animal.)

No worries, though; there are plenty of nice-looking bikes being
manufactured currently, like these examples:
