I just purchased the Shimano R151 road shoe only to find out that it
is not SPD compatible. Before I take them back I noticed that on the Nashbar site it says these are "SPD-SL design that is Look® compatible and SPD-R and SPD adaptable". Does anyone know what "SPD adaptable" means? Thanks, Tom |

The picture on this web site clearly shows the three holes on the bottom of the shoe which are too far apart for an SPD cleat. Tom |

I looked on several sites which, unlike Shimano, stated that the shoes
wereSPD-R and SPD "ADAPTABLE", requiring the use of an apaptor, SM-SH85, which I could not find anywhere. Good luck in finding one. -- Wishing you flat hills, tailwinds & friendly dogs, Pat "Thomas Reynolds" <treynolds@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:ad7a9af4.0404151759.cabc089@posting.google.com... > Terry Morse <tmorse@spamcop.net> wrote in message news:<tmorse-FA9857.11543415042004@news.covad.net>... > > In article <ad7a9af4.0404150821.6087457a@posting.google.com>, > > treynolds@my-deja.com (Thomas Reynolds) wrote: > > > > > I just purchased the Shimano R151 road shoe only to find out that it > > > is not SPD compatible.
