Default Can't wait to hear Big-mouth Boonen says now....

Two days ago it was Johan and him getting a pass from the group and
riding into the velodrome hand-in-hand.

22 year olds don't get to lead. This is part of why.

He is getting a bit full of himself in very short order...at least George
nipped him at the end.

Always good to see those who know what's going to happen before it does.
Especially since it's history.

Explain. Or are you mentioning Gent-Wevelgem? I'm sorry i had to be
more specific: by classic i meant Worldcup-race. I know you Americans
make these strictly distinct categories classic, Semi-classic, WC
race, Monument, etc. Over here this distinction is not so strictly
defined.

Not every world cup race is a classic in the same sense! Are you saying
Hamburg is just as much a classic as Paris-Roubaix? Or how about Zürich
with its constant course changes?

Huh? Yes it is.

I think he just oversaw Hincapie's Wevelgem win, and is now talking himself
out of it.
Because, as Kenny knows, here in Flanders we call Wevelgem definitely a
classic.

ridiculous, semi-klassieker is for Harelbeke, Brabantse etc.
Well who is Wuyts anyway. Some teacher with midlife crisis who turned to
cycling commentary. Can't even hold De Cauwer's wheel these days ;-)

Now I'm getting lost. Perhaps it's in the translation:

Hincapie HAS won a classic - Gent in 2001. Tom Boonen is without a doubt a
talented rider whom will probably be more successful in the future is the
VDB-itis doesn't get him first.

Arguing that a classic isn't a world cup classic is sort of pointless since
the world cup will be redesigned next year won't it? At that point Gent WILL
be a world cup classic. And the race won't change a bit.

After reading Jesus telling us that all of the drugs caused depression, it
sort of makes the actions VDB, Pantani and Jimenez come into sharper focus.

Probably couldn't hold Schote's either.

Wevelgem isn't nearly is selective as Flanders, Liege, Roubaix,
Fleche, Amstel. Even Growmont won it once.

So? A classic doesn't have to be as selective as Flanders etc. I
like Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Tours too, even though guys like Colombo
and Minali won it.
