Vinokorouv, Di Luca, Bettini, Bartoli, Van Petegem, Van Bon, VDB, Brochard, Rebellin, Camenzind and Pellizotti are described as: "in excellent form", "top form", "[be there at the end if everything goes right]", "in good shape", "in good form", "should not be counted out", "perhaps this time the cards will fall his way", "other riders to consider". Two from three pre-race interviews was a good result at PR. How will the percentages work out at Amstel? |

Missing were such key phrases as, "Crush VDB like a grape", "Rip the legs off of Vinokourov", "Shell Bettini" and "Shread the peloton".
