Default Watching L-B-L live...how to?

Hopefully some of the guys in Belgium or Holland can help me out here.

My wife and I are thinking of taking a short vacation up to the
Benelux countries this weekend and I'd like to catch a few sections of
L-B-L.

We would probably be staying in/near Brussels or would come down from
Amsterdam for the day.

Can anyone recommend any maps, tips, etc on the best way to view the
race? We will most likely have our car.

thx

Kit

Both Amsterdam (more so) and Brussels are still a long way from the
course in the east of Belgium. Sorry, no master tips, I never went to
see it live. The cross roads (carrefour) at Baraque de Fraiture seems a
good (and accessible) vantage point, but it's still very early in the
race. See http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/200...3/lbl03/?id=map
If you get there early, try and get a spot on La Redoute; often
decisive. Other "côte"s are good too.

From Amsterdam a bit far, but for Brussels with a car, jump on E5 eastbound and you'll be in Liege in no time flat.

Look at the course map from there and possibly take E9 southbound which will line you up for Bastogne.

Stavelot is a recommended spot to spectate.

can't give you tons of details, but i would forget about leaving from
amsterdam. it something like a 4-5 hour drive there. why not stay in
liege - if you could find a hotel? otherwise, do the brussels option.
