Cipollini bitch slapped by LANCE. I guess RC was half right.
I believe this is his first win in a sprint since 1993 in Verdun and his first field sprint ever as a pro. Bob Schwartz cvcc@execpc.com If there is any pride among the sprinters, a few of them will kill themselves before the TT. |

The one with Lance is a particularly good contrast between a true Champion and someone who is merely a strong racer. Shayne Wissler |

Yeah, well Lance appears to have taken 2 stages in one day, with the TT as well. Keep in mind that the 3rd stage had laps which featured a stiff climb. Maybe Zabel could have done it, but not Cipo. Dominguez probably has to wonder what it takes to win a stage has he's had 3 consecutive 2nds. Maybe he should stop looking at other's wheels. |

But I think he won the NYC pro race in 2002 like that. I think Gilbert Glaus won the final stage of the Tour de France like that too. Odd. JT |

You're right; Glaus always sprinted on the hoods. I can't believe you
remembered that.
