Default 2004 Tour de France final stage

I'm planning to visit just for the last weekend and I have to make
travel arraignments to leave Sunday evening. I'm wondering what time
is reasonable to expect the last stage to end. If I have to catch a
6PM flight will I have enough time to see the finish, buy some
souvenirs and get to the airport?

Thanks

You're going to make flight plans for a Parisian visit based on the
recommendations of anonymous people on rbr who have no stake in whether
you do or don't make your flight? Who do you think you are, Blanche
Dubois?

Okay, in that case, no, you won't have time to do all those things.

For the best possible travel arraignment, make sure to tell the security
screeners that you have a loaded weapon.

That will give you a pretty good timetable for watching the finale in Paris.
But the short answer is no, you can't possibly catch the end (or even the
beginning of the end) and catch a flight out of CDG by 6pm. CDG is one of
the few airports where I'd say you really *do* need to get there two hours
prior to your flight leaving, and add to that another hour to get to the
airport from central Paris.
