I am looking to buy a new saddle. Do any of you have experience with
this saddle? How padded is it? Also can you slide around on it or does the cover prevent that? I can not find one locally. I currently am riding a San Marco Era that I picked up used from E-Bay but the saddle may be shot or the design is poor in that when I sit on it, I feel the seatpost under the center (using an American Classic Seatpost). Saddle is placed almost in center of rails. My previous saddle was an Avocet O2 but I have found it not the most comfortable when using aerobars and I can not slide around because it is concave. Thanks. Jim |

Came stock on my Klein road bike. Using it now on my mountain bike, and like it. Yes, it's pretty plush compared to most saddles I've tried; and no, the cover doesn't prevent shifting position at all. (There's also an Era Pro, I think, which I'm sure is lighter and assume less padded.) > I currently am riding a San Marco Era that I picked up used from E-Bay > but the saddle may be shot or the design is poor in that when I sit on > it, I feel the seatpost under the center (using an American Classic > Seatpost). If you're not happy with it, why would you buy another? It DOES have a somewhat peculiar shape (which is why it didn't work well as a road saddle for me), so if your butt/thighs don't fit it, betta quit it. Bill "with apologies to Johnny C." S. |
