I'm getting ready to buy my first bent. I test drove the cycle genius CGX and the Sun EZ-1 last weekend and liked the Cycle Genius better - particularly the pedal height and the seat.
I'm looking at CGs next models up - the STX at $649 and the ALX at $949. Can anybody comment on their quality based on experience? |

The cycle Genius bikes are supposed to be pretty good. I've been told they are a lot of bang for the buck. I had a choice between the Cycle Genius and Rans bikes at my LBS. Unfotunately it was raining heavily and I wasn't able to ride either one. I made a decision and went with the Rans Tailwind before I even rode a recumbent. I love the bike and feel it is worth every penny I spent on it. Both were rated highly by the dealer, who rides an older Vision with USS. My suggestion is go with whatever works for you. Get something you can upgrade if you want later. Have fun with your search and try several bikes if possible both SWB and LWB. 'bent Brian |
