What's up with the story about Mayo's fans being so upset when he quit the Tour this year that they slaughtered a cow and left it lying and bleeding on the side of the road? Does anyone know more about this story? Was this a bunch of drunken fools or what?
The mention was in an article about the Tour de France on statesman.com today. |

It was probably Miguel Garcia and he thought the cow was American. |
