Default Does anyone actually know LA

I've a question for the Forum ?

Does anyone here actually know Lance Armstrong ?
Did you race with or against him ?

We all know what his books say - I am trying to get some other impressions
about him instead of the usual sources.

(Actually I've just been elected as President of the European LA fan club.....)

I have met him twice at his annual Ride for the Roses fundraiser for his foundation. Very brief encounter, shake of the hand, hello, how are you doing thing ... while I didn't race against him, I was in a very large group that was following him. I also was able to see Indurain one of the years that he was there. I wasn't able to meet him, but I was thrilled as all get out just to see him from a distance. Also, back in the early 90's when I was a driver for paving stone company, I delivered several loads of paving stones for LA's new house on the Colorado river, I saw him once there.

Jake,

Very good - it is nice to get to meet these guys "in the flesh" as they say.
Even if it is only to shake hands and say hello, that's nice.
You didn't challenge him to a quick "two up" ???
You'll get him the next time !
