A tiny blurb in my local paper yesterday said that Kristin Armstrong finished 8th in the womens road race in the Olympics.
Is this THE Kristin Armstrong, as in Lance's ex wife? Maybe this is the real reason he didn't go to the Games, he had to stay with the kids (he did say he was not going to spend more time with his kids.)

it was a good day to be Paolo Bettini is what happened. 18th in a one shot road race with the best in the world is pretty respectible if you ask me. The German team with Ullrich, Koden and Voight, had a stronger team and a worse than the americans I thought |

It was a fun race to watch, my first real introduction to womans racing. It was *very nice* to see some women who were up there in age seriously compeating! Paul said even tho it wasn't quite as hot temp. wise as the men's race the strong cross winds made it a more difficult day to race. Last edited by adapa : 18-08.-2004 at 03:37 AM. |
