How's this look for a training schedule over my last two weeks before a ~12 mile RR that's essentially a hill climb? The idea is to get as much climbing time in as possible, with 2 days off between those efforts. The event is so short, that I'm not worried much about endurance... thus, no efforts longer than 2 hours. The last week is really easy, save for 12 total minutes of intervals.
Today - off S - easy 2hrs S - 2x20min climbing intervals @ 40KTT pace M - 2 hrs easy T - off W - 2x20 min climbing intervals @ 40KTT pace T - 1.5 hrs easy F - off S - 2x20 mins climbing intervals @ 40KTT pace S - 1.25hrs easy M - off T - 1.5hrs easy W - 2hrs easy + 1x10 mins climbing @ 40KTT pace T - .5hrs recovery F - 1hr easy + 1x2 mins @ near max pace S - event in a.m. |
