Talking Tour D'Afrique - 100 Days cycling through Africa

Have any of you guys checked out this awesome ride?

http://www.tourdafrique.com/

I think this could be the ride of a lifetime. They started in Cairo, Egypt and are riding south through Africa to finish in Cape Town, South Africa.
They go through Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya,Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana and finally Soth Africa. 10,500 kilometres (6,800 miles).

I'd love to do this, only the price from a SA Rand point of view seems a tad steep.

Check it out and lets discuss it!

Just thought my fellow cyclists might be interested!

What's the opinion of those who've looked at it so far?

Its one way to see alot of that part of the world, my only concern would be if its safe or not? It goes through a few dodgy area's

The route from Cairo to Cape Town is approximate. Though we have taken great care in its planning, route changes may occur at the last minute due to accessibility, weather, road conditions and politics. The organizers reserve the right to change the route, as circumstances require.

cheers!
