Call Open Road Cycling or Champion Schwinn Stores. They have training rides all over Jax. ![]() |

Welcome to Jax!
Take a look at the North Florida Bicycle Club website -- it lists all the local rides and the level of riders for each -- http://www.nfbc.us. What kind of rides are you looking for -- rail trails, short road rides, long road rides, mountain biking trails, weeknights, weekdays, weekends? What part of Jax do you live in? |

I am fm Mandarin as well. I live at mandarin Lakes up in Claire lane. I usually ride with the Lakeshore Schwinn Group on Saturdays. Is a good group, not "clickish", theyt ride fast but short. If you want a more challenging group "Open Road" has a fast ride on Saturdays starting fm the Miramar plaza. I also do train solo, and I don't mind some company as well. I do the "Mandaring Circuit" (Scott Mill Rd., Mandarin Road, Julington Creek Plantation, Bishop estates and back). Let me know, it's starting to warm up. |

Thxs for your prompt reply. At this point I only avg about 15 m/h. Have you had any experience with Champion cycles in Mandarin? Its closer to where I live, but I certainly will consider dirving somewhere else...thanks again

Champion is a great group too. Talk to Phil or JT, they will certainly help you. I am also starting a spinning class on tuesday @ 4:30PM at the Bailey's Gym south of I-295. I structure the training to help you ride faster and stronger. |

Do I know you? Try Angie's Spinning class at the Y. Tuesdays and Thursday 4:30pm. She teaches a very structured class. Libby's class on Fridays 4:30 pm is good too. To join my class you have to join the Bailey's..but you can ask for a trial membership and see if you like it. You can ask for me (Ray) but I am pretty new there so let them know I am teaching the tuesday's 4:30 class. Good luck |

http://www.nfbc.us/ Then go to "club rides" and it will display the upcoming Sunday/Holiday rides. The "area rides" has all the Saturday and weekday rides that typically leave from the local bike shops around town. If you're in town on the 24th of this month (Sunday), there is the Tour de Forts which is a century ride, and several other lengths as well put on by the Club (also on the website). Hope this helps! |

Welcome to Jax UNF_Chaz. You will find plenty of company riding around. It is MS150 season and people are getting ready for it. Tons of group rides.
