Hey Virenque, tood bad you are so far away These climbs are actually pretty fun to do (or pretty difficult-I shall say!) Not everyone is made up to hold on for the entire experience. Last year only a few good climbers were able to finish. Lance dropped after 50 miles or so (if I recall it correctly) I think he had the flu and had also riding with some fever. So, he did not really showed us too much entertaining! Chris Horner, is by far the favorite rider in this race, will see how he does this year. Hope more people will come, last year the streets were packed with about 500000 fans.....It is a lot of fun! Cheers ![]() |

Hehe these climbs are pretty fun if youre watching cyclist suffering while climbing them, but I think its not so funny to climb them yourself hehe..
Uros Murn from the same country as I am was third last year! But it was a surprise, because he is one-day-race specialist.. |

Bobby J isn't coming - ear infection. Levi's gonna be there - the only Rabo. I'll be there with my daughter (she's 4) so we'll probably make it as far as Taylor, but not Fillmore. BART should get us there in plenty of time to watch the women finish, score some cool schwag at the expo, and watch the men's parade laps before we start walking the course. |

Armstrong's not going to be there for anybody who hasn't heard already (tendonitis).
Anybody know the gradients and/or length of those (Fillmore and Taylor) hills? It's obvious that they're very steep, but I can't seem to find a actual figure. |

No. I haven't heard anything about this. I just did a google search, and I don't see anything current for him on tendonitis either. Perhaps you can explain this--how it happened and the prognosis. |

Thanks for the link. I kind of wonder exactly when Lance began to notice this injury. I wonder if this played a part in his avoiding the Olympics. I wonder if he was feeling this earlier on in the Tour. I kind of doubt it though because he was riding way too strong to be hiding much of an injury. |

You say 500,000? Wow! That's enormous, probably more than are turning out for the Vuelta on any given day in Spain this year. |
