HELP ME!!!

you need a special tool to fit in to the grooves in the freewheel, some FW's have 2 or 3 special lugs cut in to them for removal. You then get a wrench and attach it to the special freewheel remover tool and wrench it off. Check the Park Tool website, it shows you the different ones you can get, you need to get the right one to match your freewheel.

no, you can't use a screwdriver and hammer. a) I doubt you'd have the strenth to get it off doing that.. and b) you'll more than likely ruin the freewheel/your fingers/your screwdriver.

your bike shop should be able to get it off for a minimal amount of money, it shouldn't take them any more than 30 seconds, and either way, they could probably sell you the tool for under $10, so if they tried to charge you any more than $2-3 i'd say just buy the tool, then all you need is either a really big wrench, or else put the tool in the vise, set the wheel on it, and twist it off,
