Default Livestrong, again

I saw a young woman this morning with big yellow hooped ear rings. As we
passed in the street I realised they were both Livestrong wristbands!

They are continuous loops. Presumably she cut them, then fed them through
normal earrings and glued them closed again.

More likely that she opened up the wire hoops on a pair of simple
earrings and closed them on the Livestrong bands.

Or cut them, fed them through her earlobes, and glued them closed again :-)

They glue well! After breaking mine in an accident last Sunday, a
dribble of Superglue worked wonders!

Yes, superglue is quite commonly used in place of stitches in surgical
procedures, so slicing the ear and gluing it up would also work.
However, I prefer my suggestion :-)

The fake one I got off ebay was glued as "new".

She wouldn't have to slit her ear-lobes. She could glue the ends of
the cut bands directly to them.

Talking of Livestrong and hospitals, watch out when visiting the US,
apparently some hospitals use similar yellow bands to mean "do not
resuscitate"....
