Agreed. Looked at the prices last summer - it was still cheaper to pay the
£15 either way for the bike on a plane as long as you booked early enough for the bargain seats. |

Big plus is the flexibility of what they will carry. I doubt your flight would have taken 2 adults, 4 children, a tandem trike, a tandem, two bikes and a Burleytrailer, plus camping gear, as the Bike Express did for us to see the Le Tour a few years back. But if, like me, you live within 5 miles of one of their pick up points but miles from a low cost airport you can save a huge wedge that the railways need to get you to an airport and hours of fun sitting on sweaty trains. Pretty much balances the sums. T |

Fortunately coming back both times, would have spoiled the holiday if it had been going out. BA coughed up for repairs, no experience of the cheap & cheerful brigade.
