Default Does anyone know a good online bike shop that supplies to the UK?

I'm yet to find one that's good value, reliable, safe and efficient. Got any links?

I use Wiggle or Settle Cycles. SJSC have more obscure touring stuff and
small parts, but the £5 postage for orders under £50 is criminal.

See my previous post. You really do need to do a few price comparisons
e.g Innovation Road Air (lightweight pump) Wiggle £19.99, my LBS £15.99. I
have spotted one or two others hence only use them occasionally.

Ah, another Mencken fan. My favourite of his is "War is God's way of
teaching Americans geography" said 100 years ago and still true today.

Ahem, Nice Mr Thorn calls it a "Small Order Fee": Not a "Postage Fee".

I still think it's outrageous though.

Knowing someone who runs a mail order business and charges £3.50 for orders
under £30, he's very clear that it costs much more than that to get the
package out the door, and the free postage orders upwards of £50 or £60 pay
their way much better.
