Are the short lead pipes necessary? I assume they are meant to go
between the cable housing and the brake lever body, but they are virtually impossible to slot into place once the levers are mounted on the bars. Or can I just fit the cable housing straight to the levers like any other type of aero lever? Unfortunately Dia-Compe supply absolutely no instructions! |

Not absolutely, that is to say many sets must have been installed without them, going by the queries which reach me sometimes. -- --- Marten Gerritsen INFOapestaartjeM-GINEERINGpuntNL www.m-gineering.nl |

I installed the short pipes at the levers with little trouble. Loosen the screw on the front of the lever to make it easy. Don't forget to reset it after. KC |

I'm talking about the short pair of lead pipes, not the long ones with adjusters (four are supplied). I have a feeling they're optional - they certainly don't look as if they're going to last long. |
