Any ideas where I can get a rear mech hanger for a shimano 105 rear mech. is
this the normal item my lbs will stock or will they be able to get hold of one. I'm in no real rush as i havn't won the chainset on ebay yet. cheers Jon_H |

If this is the case, you might be able to source a mech hanger from your LBS. If this isn't the case, they are generally frame specific (Change by manufacturer and by year!). Someone once posted a link to a company that specialised in such things, but I don't remember who they were. Jon |

Mechs screw on to these instead of coming with hangers of their own. Adapters are available for suitable older/cheaper frames that don't have hangers. Is it the sort of frame that needs a separate bolt on hanger ? Is it the sort of frame that had a hanger brazed on but its come off ? Is it the sort of frame that previously had a bolt on hanger fixing to the orginal mech and attached to the drop ou tby the wheel axle ? |
