Default trans-canada hwy around georgian bay?

hi i was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to bike the transcanada north of parry sound up to sudbury around georgian bay? i know i couldnt bike on the highway before that, but the maps seem to show that i might be able to meander on small roads around the 400. any help would be appreciated, thanks
