Default Logan to Beaudesert on Mt. Lindesday Hwy

Hi everyone.. has anyone ridden down from either Brisbane or Logan to Beaudesert via the Mt. Lindsay Hwy? or the back way via if there is such a way? Which way is the safest route? Has Mt. Lindesday Hwy got a good shoulder area to ride on all the way to Beaudesert? any responses would help as I am riding it hopefully tomorrow or soon.
