I've just taken my rear deraillieur apart for cleaning and forgot which is the top and which is the bottom jockey wheel. I've heard it's important you don't mix them up. How can I tell which is which? It is a Shimano LX deraillieur .
Thanks. |

well on my Tacx jockey wheels the one that says top goes at the top......
If you are rebuilding the mech, might be worth investing in new jockey wheels while you are at it... |

Hi Srodders, check this document: http://bike.shimano.com/media/cycli...69830539553.pdf it contains the exploded view of the RD-M580 and I hope that you can see the difference of the pulleys. Regards. Marcelo

Thanks Guys.
All sorted now - I'm hoping to get both derailleurs to last this year and replace the whole lot with XTs for next year. |
