Just wondering, do you ride road or do you like to mtn bike? check the one that best fits you if you are mostly one but do a little of another check the pne you do more. Only check both if you are close to fifty fifty.

I'm a 52 year old reformed couch potato. Bought my first bike last July, a hybrid. Did a little of each, definitely prefer road, can't get enough. About 2500 road miles now and commuting and working toward my first century (53 miles today).

i ride mountain .

the way i look at it is that i can ride on a road if i like, and sure a road cyclist would thrash me, but if i wanted to i could take a short cut over a muddy footpath.

for me its about freedom and a MTB gives me that.

I like both mountain and road. I ride trials and mostly do that.

Seing as i at the moment only a cheap giant boulder i prefer to ride mountain bikes but since the bike is what it is i dont have much fun. I am getting a new one soon but i dont know what it will be yet limit about a thousand. In the mean time i use it mainly to comute but at the moment i am to cheep to by lower profile tires as i am saving for the bike. This makes the ride interesting but not to hard. It is harder now seeing as my parents made me stop in december and november but i understand why they did it. I dont know why people complain about thier parents so much. If you complane it is only so much harder on you. But it seems to be instinct.
